That's correct. Let's cut to the chase - this is NOT the Star of David. There is no such thing as, "The Star of David" in the Bible. However, there are other "stars" that the rebellious people of Israel made for themselves and made God angry with. This deception spread worldwide.

The Origin of this symbol.
Acts of the Apostles 7:39-43
“But our ancestors refused to listen to Moses. They rejected him and wanted to return to Egypt.
They told Aaron, ‘Make us some gods who can lead us, for we don’t know what has become of this Moses, who brought us out of Egypt.’ So they made an idol shaped like a calf, and they sacrificed to it and celebrated over this thing they had made. Then God turned away from them and abandoned them to serve THE STARS OF HEAVEN AS THEIR GODS!
In the book of the prophets it is written, ‘Was it to me you were bringing sacrifices and offerings during those forty years in the wilderness, Israel? No, you carried your pagan gods— the shrine of Molech, THE STAR OF YOUR GOD REPHAN, and THE IMAGES YOU MADE TO WORSHIP THEM. So I will send you into exile as far away as Babylon.’”
Amos 5:25-27
“Was it to me you were bringing sacrifices and offerings during the forty years in the wilderness, Israel? No, you served your PAGAN GODS— your king god and Kaiwan YOUR STAR GOD—THE IMAGES YOU MADE FOR YOURSELVES. So I will send you into exile, to a land east of Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is the God of Heaven’s Armies.”
Some call it "The Seal of Solomon.” Here's why:
1 Kings 11:1–8
“Now King Solomon loved many foreign women. Besides Pharaoh’s daughter, he married women from Moab, Ammon, Edom, Sidon, and from among the Hittites. The Lord had clearly instructed the people of Israel, “You must not marry them, because they will turn your hearts to their gods.” Yet Solomon insisted on loving them anyway. He had 700 wives of royal birth and 300 concubines. And in fact, they did turn his heart away from the Lord.
In Solomon’s old age, they turned his heart to worship other gods instead of being completely faithful to the Lord his God, as his father, David, had been. Solomon worshiped Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molech, the detestable god of the Ammonites. In this way, SOLOMON DID WHAT WAS EVIL IN THE LORD’S SIGHT; he refused to follow the Lord completely, as his father, David, had done.
On the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, he even built a pagan shrine for Chemosh, the detestable god of Moab, and another for Molech, the detestable god of the Ammonites. Solomon built such shrines for all his foreign wives to use for burning incense and sacrificing to their gods.”

There are so many other religions and denominations that it would take too long to list. The star symbol is not the only element that determines whether a religion is right or wrong.
For example; Jehovah's Witnesses don't have many symbols, but teach falsehoods.
Remember; having a religion is not the same as having FAITH.
Jeremiah 22:3–5
“THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS:
Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent!
If you obey me, there will always be a descendant of David sitting on the throne here in Jerusalem. The king will ride through the palace gates in chariots and on horses, with his parade of attendants and subjects.
But if you refuse to pay attention to this warning,
I SWEAR BY MY OWN NAME, says the Lord, that THIS PALACE WILL BECOME A PILE OF RUBBLE. ’”
Jeremiah 22:8–9 “People from many nations will pass by the ruins of this city and say to one another, ‘Why did the Lord destroy such a great city?’ And the answer will be, ‘Because they violated their covenant with the Lord their God by worshiping other gods.’”
Revelation 2:24-29
“But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (‘DEEPER TRUTHS,’ AS THEY CALL THEM—DEPTHS OF SATAN, actually). I will ask nothing more of you except that you hold tightly to what you have until I come. To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, To them I will give authority over all the nations. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.
