Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

In this post; How to Test and Discern the false prophets in 5 Steps.

The most common misconception among those who claim to be believers is that Jesus Christ called "everyone" to be a disciple. That is not true. Jesus called everyone to REPENT and receive baptism, but only a few should be teachers. The Apostles were the first disciples who were the students of Jesus Christ. He set them apart from the rest of the population for this exact purpose. It was their full-time devotion. Their lives belonged to the Lord, who chose them as His soldiers.

  • 2 Timothy 2:3-4 "Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them."

James 3:1-12

“Dear brothers and sisters, NOT MANY OF YOU SHOULD BECOME TEACHERS IN THE CHURCH, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.

We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches.

But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.

People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.”

The rest of the people are assigned other roles in God's Kingdom. (I have mentioned it in my other posts). Not everyone is meant to be the ears and mouth! The body of Christ has many other parts! Going against God's plan for us by trying to do what we weren't authorized for is prideful and wicked. We can learn the consequences from the story of Korah's rebellion.

God authorized Moses to enter the Most Holy place within the Tabernacle and mediate between God and people. He chose him to teach them the written laws. Even though other Levites received their duties as "helpers," they became jealous of Moses and his position. They accused Moses of pride for having authority over them. Moses received that authority because he was the most humble person on earth. God would never call a prideful person to this service. It was the other Levites and all who rebelled with them guilty of pride. They arrogantly rejected God's choice and acted entitled to receive the priesthood duties instead of Moses.

Numbers 16:1-36

Korah’s Rebellion

“One day Korah son of Izhar, a descendant of Kohath son of Levi, conspired with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, from the tribe of Reuben. They incited a rebellion against Moses, along with 250 other leaders of the community, all prominent members of the assembly. They united against Moses and Aaron and said, “You have gone too far! The whole community of Israel has been set apart by the Lord, and he is with all of us. What right do you have to act as though you are greater than the rest of the Lord’s people?”

When Moses heard what they were saying, he fell face down on the ground. Then he said to Korah and his followers, “Tomorrow morning the Lord will show us who belongs to him and WHO IS HOLY. The Lord will allow only those whom he selects to enter his own presence. Korah, you and all your followers must prepare your incense burners. Light fires in them tomorrow, and burn incense before the Lord. Then we will see whom the Lord chooses as his holy one. You Levites are the ones who have gone too far!”

Then Moses spoke again to Korah: “Now listen, you Levites! Does it seem insignificant to you that the God of Israel has chosen you from among all the community of Israel to be near him so you can serve in the Lord’s Tabernacle and stand before the people to minister to them? Korah, he has already given this special ministry to you and your fellow Levites. Are you now demanding the priesthood as well? The Lord is the one you and your followers are really revolting against! For who is Aaron that you are complaining about him?”

Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they replied, “We refuse to come before you! Isn’t it enough that you brought us out of Egypt, a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us here in this wilderness, and that you now treat us like your subjects? What’s more, you haven’t brought us into another land flowing with milk and honey. You haven’t given us a new homeland with fields and vineyards. Are you trying to fool these men? We will not come.”

Then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord, “Do not accept their grain offerings! I have not taken so much as a donkey from them, and I have never hurt a single one of them.” And Moses said to Korah, “You and all your followers must come here tomorrow and present yourselves before the Lord. Aaron will also be here. You and each of your 250 followers must prepare an incense burner and put incense on it, so you can all present them before the Lord. Aaron will also bring his incense burner.”

So each of these men prepared an incense burner, lit the fire, and placed incense on it. Then they all stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle with Moses and Aaron. Meanwhile, Korah had stirred up the entire community against Moses and Aaron, and they all gathered at the Tabernacle entrance. Then the glorious presence of the Lord appeared to the whole community, and the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Get away from all these people so that I may instantly destroy them!”

But Moses and Aaron fell face down on the ground. “O God,” they pleaded, “you are the God who gives breath to all creatures. Must you be angry with all the people when only one man sins?”

And the Lord said to Moses, “Then tell all the people to get away from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.”

So Moses got up and rushed over to the tents of Dathan and Abiram, followed by the elders of Israel. “Quick!” he told the people. “Get away from the tents of these wicked men, and don’t touch anything that belongs to them. If you do, you will be destroyed for their sins.” So all the people stood back from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Then Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the entrances of their tents, together with their wives and children and little ones.

And Moses said, “This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things that I have done—for I HAVE NOT DONE THEM ON MY OWN. If these men die a natural death, or if nothing unusual happens, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord does something entirely new and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them and all their belongings, and they go down alive into the grave, then you will know that these men have shown contempt for the Lord.”

He had hardly finished speaking the words when the ground suddenly split open beneath them. The earth opened its mouth and swallowed the men, along with their households and all their followers who were standing with them, and everything they owned. So they went down alive into the grave, along with all their belongings. The earth closed over them, and they all vanished from among the people of Israel. All the people around them fled when they heard their screams. “The earth will swallow us, too!” they cried. Then fire blazed forth from the Lord and burned up the 250 men who were offering incense.”

How to discern the false teachers/prophets;

STEP 1

God's Authorization

All who are called by God - humble themselves before Him and repent. God removes their sinful nature - circumcises their hearts, and makes them Holy. They no longer live for themselves. It was apparent with the Apostles. They receive the Holy Spirit and prove it with their Testimony. Jesus Christ revealed Himself to them in His Glory, and they saw Him with their eyes. From that point on - the Spirit of Jesus Christ is the one who speaks and works through them. They do not teach by their own understanding or human wisdom. The wisdom they teach comes from Heaven. They do not rely on any other source.

  • 1 John 2:27 “But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.”

  • Galatians 1:15-16 “But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being.”

Matthew‬ 16‬:13–18

“When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

“Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”

Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.”

Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”

The disciples knew Jesus was the Messiah (Christ). But, at that time they did not know the full meaning.

  • What is the meaning?

  1. Jesus Christ is EQUAL with God.

  2. There is only ONE GOD.

  3. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God (the Holy Spirit).

  4. Jesus Christ 2000 years ago is God in human form.

  5. Jesus Christ is no longer in human form - He returned to His Glory in the Spirit (God) when He ascended.

➡️ Simon, now Peter, acknowledged that Jesus is God. The Holy Spirit told him.

John‬ 16‬:28‬-33‬

“Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.”

Then his disciples said, “At last you are speaking plainly and not figuratively. Now we understand that you know everything, and there’s no need to question you. From this we believe that you came from God.”

Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

1 John 2:20-23

“But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth. So I am writing to you not because you don’t know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies. And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.”

  • This is denying that Jesus Christ is God. Who are those liars? Religious Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, the "Trinity" believers, and all orthodox and pagan religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, etc.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

“But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now HE USES US to spread THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this?

You see, we are NOT like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with CHRIST'S AUTHORITY, knowing that GOD IS WATCHING US.”

2 Corinthians 3:1-6

“Are we beginning to praise ourselves again? Are we like others, who need to bring you letters of recommendation, or who ask you to write such letters on their behalf? Surely not! The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.

We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. OUR QUALIFICATION COMES FROM GOD. He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but OF THE SPIRIT. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, THE SPIRIT GIVES LIFE.”

❗ By paying attention to this, you can tell who are the knock-offs. Anyone who denies that Jesus is God has the spirit of an antichrist.

  • Matthew 7:13-14 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. THE HIGHWAY TO HELL IS BROAD, and ITS GATE IS WIDE OPEN FOR THE MANY who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it."

STEP 2

Some say, "Jesus is God," but are still false teachers!

Galatians 1:6-10

“I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that PRETENDS to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who DELIBERATELY TWIST THE TRUTH CONCERNING CHRIST.

Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.”

AN EXAMPLE;

False prophets

false prophets

false prophets

false prophets

false prophets

➡️ So much for that "challenge." (If he/she ever replies, I'll update the post.)

According to their "logic," nothing has changed for them, and they still live "here in Hades."

A delayed reply arrived:

false teacher

false teacher

No more reply, I asked THREE TIMES, but he/she is dodging a bullet. I'm not going to hold my breath. This brings me to the next step.

STEP 3

False teachers do not have Testimony of Repentance, so they do not teach others about its importance. All they say is - believe. Even demons believe and they tremble in terror! Anyone who has Faith does what God commands - Repent!

A TESTIMONY is a witness statement.

Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Isaiah 43:10

“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be.”

  • My Testimony is posted for all to read in great detail, no one needs to ask! I brag about what Jesus Christ has done for me and how He has transformed me! How could I not? It's the first thing done after having received the Holy Spirit!

  • Matthew 5:15 “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”

  • Revelation 12:11 “And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.”

As you see, anyone can say the words "Jesus is God" but if they twist everything else, not believing what God says, and NOT having Testimony of REPENTANCE, it's meaningless. If there is no repentance, there is no Holy Spirit, and they have not witnessed anything!

Teaching others made-up philosophy is dangerous. People like that will be punished, along with those who follow them.

  • 2 Peter 3:16 “speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction.”

Acts 2:38

“Peter replied, “Each of you MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND TURN TO GOD, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. THEN you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

I have made a separate post about what Repentance is and the danger of Not Repenting.

STEP 4

If you ever get to read the Testimony - their change in life should reflect the strict conditions set by Jesus Christ; KEEP IN MIND - that those are NOT conditions for all believers, but ONLY FOR DISCIPLES.

Luke 14:25-35

The Cost of Being a Disciple

“A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said to them, “IF YOU WANT TO BE MY DISCIPLE, you MUST, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, EVEN YOUR OWN LIFE. OTHERWISE, YOU CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE. And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.

“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’

“Or what king would go to war against another king without first sitting down with his counselors to discuss whether his army of 10,000 could defeat the 20,000 soldiers marching against him? And if he can’t, he will send a delegation to discuss terms of peace while the enemy is still far away. So YOU CANNOT BECOME MY DISCIPLE WITHOUT GIVING UP EVERYTHING YOU OWN.

  • It's NOT a metaphor. There is nothing between the lines here. When God called me - I was left with NOTHING. Except for my 8-year-old laptop which is essential to my role, a few clothing items, and my daughter - whom I do not love more than I love God! (She doesn't love me more than she loves God either). I had to cut off from the rest of the family. I simply couldn't do it otherwise.

“Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? Flavorless salt is good neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. It is thrown away. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!”

  • Not being a sweet people-pleaser! If anyone is afraid of people or requires their praise, they cannot serve God. Those who look for the praise of people think of being famous. This is ungodly.

John 7:1-10

“After this, Jesus traveled around Galilee. He wanted to stay out of Judea, where the Jewish leaders were plotting his death. But soon it was time for the Jewish Festival of Shelters, and Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, where your followers can see your miracles! You can’t become famous if you hide like this! If you can do such wonderful things, show yourself to the world!” For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.

Jesus replied, “Now is not the right time for me to go, but you can go anytime. The world can’t hate you, but IT DOES HATE ME BECAUSE I ACCUSE IT OF DOING EVIL. You go on. I’m not going to this festival, because my time has not yet come.” After saying these things, Jesus remained in Galilee.

But after his brothers left for the festival, Jesus also went, though secretly, staying out of public view.”

  • Jesus speaks through those He chose, therefore they ALSO ACCUSE THE WORLD OF DOING EVIL and the world hates them.

  • Hosea 6:5 “I sent my prophets to cut you to pieces—to slaughter you with MY WORDS, with judgments as inescapable as light.”

  • John 17:14 “I have given them YOUR WORD. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.”

Meaning; If you hear "preachers" loved by the crowds, that is a RED FLAG. Those crowds are being fed sweet lies. People DO NOT like hearing the truth. Truth is not comfortable!

  • Luke 6:26 “What sorrow awaits you who are praised by the crowds, for their ancestors also praised false prophets.”

STEP 5

False teachers have crooked beliefs about the Word of God. They either believe it's "only a book" written by people (not inspired by God), or that it has contradictions. By saying that, they accuse God of being confused or a liar! This is wicked and arrogant!

The Bible is the Living Word of God, and it's packed with riddles and parables - purposely! Those without the Holy Spirit explaining to them what the riddles and parables mean will be utterly confused. No one without the Holy Spirit is able to explain it in detail and with common sense. This wisdom comes from God. It's meant to be only understood by those called to explain it, as they give all the glory to God! Not themselves.

1 Corinthians 2:10-16

“But it was to us that God revealed these things BY HIS SPIRIT. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.

When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For,

“Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?”

But we understand these things, for WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.”

James 3:13-18

True Wisdom Comes from God

“If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the HUMILITY that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

But the wisdom FROM ABOVE is first of all PURE. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.”

There are many more verses in the Bible that speak of false prophets and I list them below (the ones I have not already used in my other posts).

However, it's easy to spot them following the steps of discernment listed above. All of them fail in one or more of those steps.

You know people by their FRUITS - that is - by the way they ACT; Lack of repentance is a common denominator. Greed for money or recognition - is another.

2 Peter 2:1–3

“But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them. In this way, they will bring sudden destruction on themselves. Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. In their GREED they will make up clever lies TO GET HOLD OF YOUR MONEY. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.”

  • I have a donations link set up, but I have never received a single penny. Though I'm entitled to be paid for my work, I do not require it. I will not stop doing my part because I'm faithful. In this way, God tests people's generosity and faithfulness. Those who are taught should provide for their teachers (Galatians 6:6), but teachers cannot demand it. God knows everything.

2 Peter 2:12–19

“These false teachers are like unthinking animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed. They scoff at things they do not understand, and like animals, they will be destroyed. Their destruction is their reward for the harm they have done. They love to indulge in evil pleasures in broad daylight. They are a disgrace and a stain among you. They delight in deception even as they eat with you in your fellowship meals. They commit adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under God’s curse. They have wandered off the right road and followed the footsteps of Balaam son of Beor, who loved to earn money by doing wrong. But Balaam was stopped from his mad course when his donkey rebuked him with a human voice.

These people are as useless as dried-up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness. They brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. With an appeal to twisted sexual desires, they lure back into sin those who have barely escaped from a lifestyle of deception. They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.”

Titus 1:10–16

“For there are many rebellious people who engage in useless talk and deceive others. This is especially true of those who insist on circumcision for salvation. They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for money. Even one of their own men, a prophet from Crete, has said about them, “The people of Crete are all liars, cruel animals, and lazy gluttons.” This is true. So reprimand them sternly to make them strong in the faith. They must stop listening to JEWISH MYTHS and the commands of people who have turned away from the truth.

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.”

1 John 4:1–6

“Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are MANY FALSE PROPHETS in the world.

This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God.

But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.”

  • “Jesus Christ came in a real body” = meaning that God who is Spirit, appeared in human form as Jesus Christ.

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.”

  • Romans 10:9 “If you openly declare that JESUS IS LORD and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

  • Jeremiah 10:10 “But THE LORD IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD. HE IS THE LIVING GOD AND THE EVERLASTING KING! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.”

  • John 20:28–29 “MY LORD AND MY GOD!” Thomas exclaimed. Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

1 Timothy 1:6–11

“But some people have missed this whole point. They have turned away from these things and spend their time in meaningless discussions. They want to be known as TEACHERS OF THE LAW OF MOSES, but they don’t know what they are talking about, even though they speak so confidently. We know that the law is good when used correctly. For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.”

Isaiah 44:25

“I EXPOSE THE FALSE PROPHETS AS LIARS and make fools of fortune-tellers. I cause the wise to give bad advice, thus PROVING THEM TO BE FOOLS.”
