The Bible The Word of God Speaks
The world and its nature, the stars in the sky, animals, and all people exist because God spoke HIS WORDS.

Psalm 33:4-9

"For the WORD OF THE LORD holds true, and we can trust everything he does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.

The Lord merely SPOKE, and the heavens were created. He BREATHED THE WORD, and all the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him. For WHEN HE SPOKE, THE WORLD BEGAN! It appeared at his command."

Matthew 19:26

"Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

It was not a "big bang," a bacteria, or zillion years of evolution out of nothing. These fantasies fill the minds of unbelievers who rejected God. They have no proof of these silly theories. Anyone who tries to compare the power of God to a bacteria or "nothingness" has no fear of God.

  • Psalm 36:1-4 "Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all. In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are. Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good. They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil."

John 1:1-5

"In the beginning THE WORD ALREADY EXISTED. The Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. THE WORD GAVE LIFE to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."

The "background" study

Done by unbelievers who never read it or never understood the Bible.

God gives understanding to those who show genuine Faith, and takes away from those who don't;

Matthew 13:1-15

"His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”

He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand. This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, ‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes—so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.’"

Who is the narrator?

Prophets and Apostles wrote down only what God asked them to write down for people; but what about the rest?

EXAMPLES;

Exodus 24:4

“Then Moses carefully wrote down all the Lord’s instructions. Early the next morning Moses got up and built an altar at the foot of the mountain. He also set up twelve pillars, one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel.”

  • Who is saying these Words? Moses? That would make no sense.

2 Timothy 2:9

“And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But THE WORD OF GOD CANNOT BE CHAINED”

  • This is Paul speaking; chained from prison where he was persecuted for proclaiming God's Word.

  • What makes "scholars," think that his hands were untied and he was provided all the tools to write down the words he was persecuted for? That would make no sense. No, it's ridiculous.

Acts 16:25

“Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.”

  • Who is narrating? Paul and Silas about themselves? Of course not.

Acts 17:11

"And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth."

  • Paul's preaching was already written down! How else would people search for it and find it to be true? (And who is narrating here?)

God is the Author and the Narrator.

Deuteronomy 9:10-11

“The Lord gave me the two tablets on which GOD HAD WRITTEN WITH HIS OWN FINGER ALL THE WORDS HE HAD SPOKEN to you from the heart of the fire when you were assembled at the mountain. “At the end of the forty days and nights, the Lord handed me the two stone tablets inscribed with the words of the covenant.”

  • John 6:63 "The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. AND THE VERY WORDS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU ARE SPIRIT AND LIFE."

Revelation 19:11-16

"The Rider on the White Horse

Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and HIS TITLE WAS THE WORD OF GOD. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. FROM HIS MOUTH CAME A SHARP SWORD TO STRIKE DOWN THE NATIONS. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords."

  • John 1:14 "So the WORD BECAME HUMAN and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son."

Isaiah 55:11

"It is the same with MY WORD. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."

  • Hebrews 4:12 "For the WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires."

2 Timothy 3:16-17

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

What people get wrong about "inspiration;" is that they think of it from a human perspective as the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative. An inspiration like that may take hints from other people's ideas or create from their imagination.

God speaks of Spiritual Inspiration through the Holy Spirit. Those who are called to God, have already existed with Him before physical birth and become United with God in Spirit on earth.

1 Corinthians 5:3-5

"Even though I am not with you in person, I am with you in the Spirit. And as though I were there, I have already passed judgment on this man in the name of the Lord Jesus. You must call a meeting of the church. I will be present with you in spirit, and so will the power of our Lord Jesus. Then you must throw this man out and hand him over to Satan so that his sinful nature will be destroyed and he himself will be saved on the day the Lord returns."

John 17:6

“I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept YOUR WORD.”

John 17:9-10

“My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you. All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so THEY BRING ME GLORY. Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are. During my time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold.”

John 17:14-19

“I have given them YOUR WORD. And the world hates them because THEY DO NOT BELONG TO THE WORLD, just as I do not belong to the world. I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; TEACH THEM YOUR WORD, which is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth.”

In simple words; all prophets, disciples, apostles, and all God's Chosen people are united in ONE Spirit; the Holy Spirit.

  • Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.”

  • Galatians 1:12 "I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ."

The Holy Spirit is eternal; that is why the Word of God existed before the world was created.

Unbelievers will always want more physical proof, but they will never get any; it's not available to them - because they don't believe. And even if they saw the proof; they still wouldn't believe it. They only believe their human reasoning, which is foolishness to God.

1 Corinthians 1:19-25

As the Scriptures say,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”

So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.

But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.”

Scholars don't believe that the Word of God is God's Word, so they investigate instead of repenting. Then, they proudly congratulate themselves on "theology diplomas" and think they are clever, yet, totally blind to the fact that they represent Pharisees who will be condemned, but if you ask them to explain anything, they have no answer or even get angry when questioned.

Matthew 23:1-22

Jesus Criticizes the Religious Leaders

"Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach. They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.

“Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels. And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’

“Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father. And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah. The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you cross land and sea to make one convert, and then you turn that person into twice the child of hell you yourselves are!

“Blind guides! What sorrow awaits you! For you say that it means nothing to swear ‘by God’s Temple,’ but that it is binding to swear ‘by the gold in the Temple.’ Blind fools! Which is more important—the gold or the Temple that makes the gold sacred? And you say that to swear ‘by the altar’ is not binding, but to swear ‘by the gifts on the altar’ is binding. How blind! For which is more important—the gift on the altar or the altar that makes the gift sacred? When you swear ‘by the altar,’ you are swearing by it and by everything on it. And when you swear ‘by the Temple,’ you are swearing by it and by God, who lives in it. And when you swear ‘by heaven,’ you are swearing by the throne of God and by God, who sits on the throne." Matthew 23:31-36

“But in saying that, you testify against yourselves that you are indeed the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Go ahead and finish what your ancestors started. Snakes! Sons of vipers! How will you escape the judgment of hell?

“Therefore, I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers of religious law. But you will kill some by crucifixion, and you will flog others with whips in your synagogues, chasing them from city to city. As a result, you will be held responsible for the murder of all godly people of all time—from the murder of righteous Abel to the murder of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you killed in the Temple between the sanctuary and the altar. I tell you the truth, this judgment will fall on this very generation."

All of God's Prophets and disciples preach the Good News using God's Word because God speaks through them, and their lives reflect what they preach! They quote God's Word in their preaching and don't 'cherry-pick" verses to please the audience. As a result, they get their applause from God, not from people, as official religious leaders do.

  • Philippians 1:15-19 “It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives. They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News. Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me. But that doesn’t matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice. For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.”

Wisdom & Direction

Colossians 3:16

"Let the WORD OF CHRIST dwell in you richly in ALL WISDOM, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

  • Luke 11:28 "Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

Psalm 119:112

"YOUR WORD is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations. I have suffered much, O Lord; restore my life again as you promised. Lord, accept my offering of praise, and teach me your regulations. My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions. The wicked have set their traps for me, but I will not turn from your commandments. Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight. I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end."

“The WORDS YOU SAY will either acquit you or condemn you.”

Protection

Ephesians 6:13-17

"Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the BELT OF TRUTH and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the PEACE that comes from the GOOD NEWS so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the SHIELD OF FAITH to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on SALVATION AS YOUR HELMET, and TAKE THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD."

Matthew 24:35

"Heaven and earth will disappear, but MY WORDS WILL NEVER DISAPPEAR."

PROOF:

The Bible survives fire

The Bible is indestructible

The Word of God Never Dies

Exodus 3:1-4

"One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”

When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!”

“Here I am!” Moses replied."

Hebrews 12:29 "For Our God is a Devouring Fire"

1 Corinthians 3:13-15

“But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.”

  • Matthew 13:40-43 “Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!”

Psalm 45:1-7

"BEAUTIFUL WORDS stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

You are the most handsome of all. GRACIOUS WORDS stream from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever. Put on YOUR SWORD, O mighty warrior! You are so glorious, so majestic! In your majesty, ride out to victory, defending truth, humility, and justice. Go forth to perform awe-inspiring deeds! Your ARROWS ARE SHARP, piercing your enemies’ hearts. The nations fall beneath your feet.

Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. You love justice and hate evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else."
