The Tree of Life

The meaning of the Tree of Life is full of symbolism. Many assume it to be a physical tree that grows fruits. Perhaps it will be so in the age when the Kingdom of Heaven takes over; at least, that's how it's described in prophetic visions.

However, since Faith is the evidence of things unseen, I explain it from a Spiritual perspective to give an understanding that fuels the Faith necessary to access the Tree of Life.

Knowledge is power, and since humans ate its fruit as it was planned, let's use it to our advantage.

Proverbs 18:15 “Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.”

Genesis 5:9

“The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden he placed THE TREE OF LIFE and THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL."

Genesis 5:15-17 "The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

The first man's existence started with access to THE TREE OF LIFE because he was blameless. God told him that if he obeyed God, he would be alive, but disobedience would result in death.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God when they got tempted by a serpent and trusted him instead of God. Their deaths were spiritual, as their physical lives continued.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
SIN = DEATH

When they sinned, their spirits died, and they lost access to THE TREE OF LIFE.

Their physical lives on Earth were no longer blessed but cursed. They no longer belonged to God but to Satan, whom they obeyed.

THE TREE OF LIFE is guarded by a boundary, but humans also received a promise.

Genesis 3:22-24

“Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become LIKE US, knowing both good and evil. What IF THEY REACH OUT, take fruit from THE TREE OF LIFE, and eat it? THEN THEY WILL LIVE FOREVER!"

So the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made. After sending them out, the Lord God stationed MIGHTY CHERUBIM to THE EAST of the Garden of Eden. And he placed A FLAMING SWORD THAT FLASHED BACK AND FORTH TO GUARD THE WAY to THE TREE OF LIFE.”

The meaning;

➡️ THE EAST is where the morning comes. It tells of "direction."

Revelation 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I AM THE BRIGHT MORNING STAR."

➡️ A FLAMING SWORD THAT FLASHED BACK AND FORTH is Jesus Christ = The Word of God

John 1:14 “So THE WORD became HUMAN and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”

Luke 2:33-35 “Jesus’ parents were amazed at what was being said about him. Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him. As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be REVEALED. And a SWORD WILL PIERCE YOUR VERY SOUL."

Hebrews 4:12 “For THE WORD OF GOD is ALIVE and POWERFUL. It is sharper than THE SHARPEST TWO-EDGED SWORD, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It EXPOSES our innermost thoughts and desires.”

Revelation 19:11-16

“Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like FLAMES OF FIRE, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a SHARP SWORD to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.”

➡️ GUARD THE WAY - Jesus Christ is the Way to THE TREE OF LIFE - an EVERLASTING LIFE

John 14:5-6 “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know THE WAY?”

Jesus told him, “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Acts 9:2 “He requested letters addressed to the synagogues in Damascus, asking for their cooperation in the arrest of any followers of the Way he found there. He wanted to bring them—both men and women—back to Jerusalem in chains.”

➡️ Adam and Eve had hid from the Lord after they disobeyed, so they could no longer see Him.

Genesis 3:8-10

“When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

John 8:58-59 “Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I am!” At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus WAS HIDDEN FROM THEM AND LEFT THE TEMPLE."

➡️ But, when people REPENT, turn to God, and receive the Holy Spirit, the Lord REVEALS Himself to them.

John 14:21-23

“Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And BECAUSE THEY LOVE ME, MY FATHER WILL LOVE THEM. And I WILL LOVE THEM AND REVEAL MYSELF TO EACH OF THEM."

Judas (not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with that name) said to him, “Lord, why are you going to reveal yourself only to us and not to the world at large?”

Jesus replied, “ALL WHO LOVE ME WILL DO WHAT I SAY. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”

It happened to me when I repented and received the Holy Spirit. I recognized the Holy Spirit as Jesus Christ and exclaimed, "Abba, Father!" (It was the most wonderful experience, as it continues to be. My life has never been the same since, and I hope that others will join)
Galatians 4:6 “And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”

PROPHETIC VISIONS;

Revelation 1:1-3

“’This is a revelation from JESUS CHRIST, which God gave him TO SHOW HIS SERVANTS the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of THE WORD OF GOD and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.”

Revelation 22:1–7

“Then the angel showed me A RIVER WITH THE WATER OF LIFE, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a TREE OF LIFE, bearing TWELVE CROPS of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

Twelve Crops = Twelve Tribes of Heavenly Israel

No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.

Then the angel said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires his prophets, has sent his angel TO TELL HIS SERVANTS what will happen soon.”

Jesus Is Coming

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.”

Ezekiel 47:1–12

The River of Healing

“IN MY VISION, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side. The man brought me outside the wall through the north gateway and led me around to the eastern entrance. There I could see the water flowing out through the south side of the east gateway.

Measuring as he went, he took me along the stream for 1,750 feet and then led me across. The water was up to my ankles. He measured off another 1,750 feet and led me across again. This time the water was up to my knees. After another 1,750 feet, it was up to my waist. Then he measured another 1,750 feet, and the river was too deep to walk across. It was deep enough to swim in, but too deep to walk through.

He asked me, “Have you been watching, son of man?” Then he led me back along the riverbank. When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of MANY TREES GROWING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RIVER. Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows. Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea. All the way from En-gedi to En-eglaim, the shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean. But the marshes and swamps will not be purified; they will still be salty. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of THESE TREES will NEVER TURN BROWN AND FALL, and there WILL ALWAYS BE FRUIT ON THEIR BRANCHES. There will be a new crop every month, for THEY are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for FOOD and the leaves for HEALING.”

Meaning;

John 4:10–14

“Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and WHO you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you LIVING WATER.”

“But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water? And besides, do you think you’re greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?”

Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I GIVE will NEVER BE THIRSTY AGAIN. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring WITHIN THEM, GIVING THEM ETERNAL LIFE.”

Mark 8:23–24

“Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?”

The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. THEY LOOK LIKE TREES WALKING AROUND.”

Conclusion:

Repenting and receiving the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Jesus Christ) = ETERNAL LIFE. This is the KEY to the Tree of Life. 🔑 🌲
Those who believe and join in the Holy Spirit Spirit with Jesus Christ become part of The Tree of Life.
Through the WORKS of the Holy Spirit come GOOD DEEDS = GOOD FRUIT.
One of those deeds is the power of HEALING. ("The fruit will be for FOOD and the leaves for HEALING.”)
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces THIS KIND OF FRUIT in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

John 6:35–37

“Jesus replied, “I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But you haven’t believed in me even though you have seen me. However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.”

John 15:1-17

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: LOVE EACH OTHER.”

The evidence;

John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

Mark 16:17-18

“These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be HEALED.”

Luke 9:1–2 “One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to HEAL THE SICK.”

Deuteronomy 21:22-23

“If someone has committed a crime worthy of death and is executed and HUNG ON A TREE, the body must not remain hanging from the tree overnight.

SIN = DEATH
Ephesians 4:26-27 “And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.”

You must bury the body that same day, for anyone who is hung is cursed in the sight of God. In this way, you will prevent the defilement of the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession."

Meaning; Repent from sin before sundown and before the Judgment Day

Galatians 3:13-14

"But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith."

Luke 3:7‬-9‬

“When the crowds came to John for baptism, he said, “You brood of snakes! Who warned you to flee the coming wrath? Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones. Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, EVERY TREE THAT DOES NOT PRODUCE GOOD FRUIT will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.”

BAD FRUIT Galatians 5:19-21 “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God.”

Matthew 7:15-20

“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.”

Mark 11:21

“Peter remembered what Jesus had said to THE TREE on the previous day and exclaimed, “Look, Rabbi! The fig tree you cursed has withered and died!”

Proverbs 1:28-33

“When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me. For they HATED KNOWLEDGE and CHOSE NOT TO FEAR THE LORD. They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. Therefore, they MUST EAT THE BITTER FRUIT OF LIVING THEIR OWN WAY, choking on their own schemes. For simpletons turn away from me—TO DEATH. Fools are destroyed by their own complacency. But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

“One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?”

Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ALREADY AMONG YOU."

John 5:24

“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but THEY HAVE ALREADY PASSED FROM DEATH INTO LIFE."

Luke 17:30 “Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when THE SON OF MAN IS REVEALED.”

John 17:26 “I HAVE REVEALED YOU TO THEM, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I WILL BE IN THEM.”

Romans 8:19 “For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God WILL REVEAL WHO HIS CHILDREN REALLY ARE.”

1 Corinthians 3:18-20

“Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say,

“He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.” And again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.”
